The Bredal Kro, built in 1987 received royal privilege in 1847; it was originally the main building of a farmstead built round a quadrangle. The inn was situated so close to the road that many travellers knocked on the door and asked for a drink of cool spring-water. The farmer soon realised that replacing the water with good home brewed beer and aquavit as well as delicious home cooked meals was a far better alternative. The twenty-four well- equipped en-suite guestrooms at the inn have been renovated and modernised without losing its charm or style, the hotel now boasts conference and banqueting rooms, which can accommodate one hundred guests.
